Why You Should Use Traveloka to Explore Southeast Asia

Planning vacations are no easy matter as there are many factors and issues to consider. Flights, accommodation, location, fares are just some of the many things that must be compared when planning that getaway. I wouldn’t claim to be a seasoned traveller, but having visited many neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia, it is safe to say that I have at least gained some experience when it comes to planning trips.

Being an advocate of cheap budget travel, two C’s come to mind – Cost & Convenience. When planning a trip to an unfamiliar country, if you are a picky person like me, lots of time might be spent comparing flights, searching for hotels and reading up on other people’s experiences online. Luckily, Traveloka is a platform that helps me save time and money.

Why Traveloka?

In this digital age where travelling is made way more convenient due to platforms such as Skyscanner, Expedia and Trivago, Traveloka is a leading platform based in Indonesia that focuses on flight bookings and hotel bookings in Southeast Asia.

1. Convenient & Cheap

Traveloka provides a one-stop solution for all your travelling needs. On Traveloka’s platform, you can search for and compare prices of flights and hotels on the same site. What’s more, you can read the reviews of other guests who have stayed in the hotel before. The platform is really easy to use and you can filter the results for hotels according to price range, popularity, facilities, star rating and type!

2. Southeast Asia Oriented

If you are a frequent reader of our website, you would notice that most of our content features Southeast Asian locations and Traveloka comes in handy for travel around the region. Traveloka has comprehensive coverage in SEA and are partners with many domestic, international and airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Scoot, Jetstar, Airasia and many more. Besides SEA, Traveloka’s search results cover Asia Pacific and Europe as well!

3. Save Even More

Traveloka frequently has promotion campaigns with discounts for or promo codes for flights, hotels. For budget travellers, every little bit saved on flight and accommodation means more cash to spend on your holiday. From now till 31st January 2018, one can enjoy up to 10% flight and hotel bookings using UOB cards on Traveloka.

4. No hidden costs

One thing annoying about flight bookings on budget airline sites are that the promotions they offer exclude taxes or other charges and you end up paying more than you expect. For Traveloka, there are no hidden costs on Traveloka. Yes, that means no additional taxes, fees or surcharges, what you see is the final price, so you don’t have to worry about the small print.

5. Mobile Friendly App & Fast Processing Speed

Other than accessing through a computer, Traveloka has a really well-designed app. Traveloka app is really straightforward to use and has convenient features such as a Traveller Picker, which allows you to save the personal info such as name, date of birth, nationality so you don’t have to key it over and over each time you choose to book. There is also a 1-click payment whereby all you have to do is add your credit card details once and you can don’t have to fill it in again. Also, with Traveloka, you will be able to get your e-ticket/hotel voucher in less than 1 minute after booking. The app will store all hotel and flight e-tickets, so you can just use flash your phone to redeem them.

If you are looking to travel around Southeast Asia, do consider Traveloka and check out some of their cheap flights such as Malaysian Airlines Promo. Also, don’t forget to download the app too!

Much of travel experiences of mine to South East Asian countries were through Expedia and Skyscanner. Honestly, never came across Traveloka. Maybe, I wasn’t lucky to know about it earlier. But now that I came across this article, I feel fortunate since it is related to my concern of traveling cheap. Going as per what you have written, it will be fun to make flight and hotel booking using Traveloka app.
